Why would a five year old feel more safe staying behind, alone on the airplane, instead of leaving it with her Mom?
Living in a segregated society can lead to ignorance about each other's circumstances. Misunderstandings can lead to cruel mistakes no matter how good your intentions are.
We tend to categorize people based on their culture, their religion, the country they live in or came from, the colour of their skin, what kind if job they do, their gender and so on. It turns out nothing is just clear cut, there are always exceptions and variations.
Taking the time to translate my photography into words adds a different dimension in the quest to discover meaning. It even helps me understand why I do photography.
